Meet Lillian Lippard. Lillian is a graduate of Hammond School and the University of South Carolina. Upon graduating from USC, she spent a year in Europe, where she was an apprentice in a bakery in Austria. Here, along with what she learned from her mother, Lillian studied the techniques and recipes associated with European cakes, pastries, and tortes.
Her philosophy on cooking and on food is similar to those that you have probably heard elsewhere: "Food is essential to life; therefore, make it as fresh and delicious as you can." That philosophy is evident in those items: salads, sandwiches, soups, cakes, tortes, pastries, cookies, and casseroles that are made at Lillian's.
